Youth Arts Activity Center was started in September of 1999 with a grant from the National Episcopal Church. It is a licensed non-profit before and after school care program with a warm, nurturing atmosphere, providing visual and performing arts; academic assistance; recreation and games and is located at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Ann Holley has been the director for the last seven years and is a credentialed elementary teacher with thirteen years experience in Montessori teaching. Dawn Tucker has been a teacher at the center since January of 2001 and Cami Hardman has been with the center since, October of 2004.They are both wonderful caring teachers and exceed licensing requirements.

Summer Arts Camp

Summers at Youth Arts Activity Center are rich with art classes, field trips and good clean fun. This summer our theme will be making connections. We will connect with our community through two service projects and field trips to many of our local farms and agricultural facilities. We will also run a small farm stand which will help fund our field trips. Encouraging healthy relationships with friends and families is another way we will make connections at our center. We will work with the ways to win program to encourage getting along with friends and a family B.B.Q. night and student performance to culminate our art camp. Connecting with ourselves is always a large part of any care program. We focus on connecting with the spirit through a structured art camp during the month of July and by creating an environment to suit the multiple intelligences of our students. We will keep ourselves physically in shape with swimming, wheel days, field trips and our new play structure.

Summer Camp daily schedule will be posted here soon.
